As a family-run bed retailer, now in its second generation, we've been helping customers buy a bed that suits their needs since 1985.

Our journey started with a small bed shop in Tamworth, and over the years, we've grown into a trusted name, known for high-quality beds at unbeatable prices, and a personal touch that larger retailers simply can’t match.

Our Story

The Bed Centre was founded in 1985 by Linda and Barrie Millar, who opened a small store on Tamworth Road, Kettlebrook.

Their goal was simple: to provide customers with affordable beds, mattresses, and bedroom furniture at great value. Thanks to their dedication and word-of-mouth recommendations, the business flourished.

As demand grew, so did we. Over the years, we expanded our original store before moving to a much larger bed showroom in 2013, and again in 2019.

Today, you can find us at Tame Valley Industrial Estate, Wilnecote, next to Topps Tiles and The Range, where we continue to offer the best in sleep solutions.

In 2017, my parents decided to retire, and I, Ben, took over the business alongside my partner, Gemma.

Having previously run a bed store in Stafford, I decided to focus entirely on our flagship Tamworth location to ensure we could give our customers the best service possible.

We’re not just owners, we’re actively involved in every part of the business.

You’ll often find me in the store, unloading deliveries, assisting customers, and even delivering beds myself.

Our two young children also spend time at the store, making this a true family-run business in every sense.
